On 25 September, 2020 the remaining 5 icons were installed for the new iconostasis at the cathedral church of St. Great Martyr Panteleimon.
The icons are 152 × 73 cm, they were painted by the icon painter Vladimir Guk in the Byzantine style, covered with gold leaf and they have inscriptions in the Abkhaz language.
The iconostasis contains images of St. John the Baptist, St. Apostle Andrew, St. Apostle Simon the Canaanite, the “Annunciation” to Archangel Gabriel and the Blessed Virgin Mary on the Royal Doors.
According to the traditions of Mount Athos, there are images of the prophets David and Solomon on the Royal Doors.
From 2016 to 2020, under the leadership of the abbot of the New Athos monastery, Hierodeacon David (Sarsaniya), a new iconostasis and icons for it were made, now installed in the cathedral church of St. Panteleimon.
