The Chairman of the Council of the Holy Metropolis of Abkhazia took part in the International Scientific Conference “Problems of History and Modernity of the Black Sea-Caucasus Region”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia 1992-1993, the 15th anniversary of the international recognition of the independence of the Republic of Abkhazia.

The conference was held in Sukhum, October 2-4, 2023. At section No. 1 “Patriotic War in Abkhazia 1992-1993 and current problems of the Black Sea-Caucasus region in the context of geopolitical processes” Doctor of Theology, leading researcher at the Department of History of the Abkhaz State Institute for Humanitarian Reasearch named after. D. Gulia ANA, Archimandrite Dorotheos (Dbar) presented the report on the “Church life in post-war Abkhazia (1993-1997)”.
