Photos of the monastery of St. John the Baptist in the Soviet period:
1. Primary school students from the village of Ankhua in front of the Skete of St. John the Baptist. 23 October, 1964. A notable feature of the photograph is the view of the canopy over the front porch. The canopy was installed instead of the balcony, which was destroyed during the fire.
2. Photo with a view of the northern side of the Skete of St. John the Baptist. In the middle of 20th century. On the balcony there is a sign “ISPOLKOM” made in three languages: Abkhazian, Georgian and Russian.
