Clearing the territory of the ruins of two medieval churches in the village of Bzhylua, Ankhua

On 13 August 2022, the staff and parishioners of the HMA under the leadership of senior researcher of the department of history of Abkhazian Institute for Human Researches named after D. Gulia Archimandrite Dorotheos (Dbar) continued clearing the territory of the ruins of two medieval churches from wild vegetation in the village of Bzhylua (Бжьылҩа-ныхақәа), Ankhua, Gudauta region.

These works are carried out before the start of archaeological excavations, which will begin in September 2022.

For the first time, the clearing of this territory from wild vegetation was carried out on 26 November, 2018 by the staff and parishioners of HMA.
