On 8-9 August 2022, feast of St. Great Martyr Panteleimon took place in the New Athos Monastery. The cathedral church of the monastery was consecrated in the name of this martyr.
After the morning prayer service, followed by the rite of the small water blessing, Archimandrite Dorotheos (Dbar) celebrated the Divine Liturgy. After the Liturgy, Litany was served (a procession with the miraculous icon of St. Panteleimon around the cathedral church in the courtyard of the monastery).
After the Litany, according to tradition, the abbot of the New Athos Monastery, Hierodeacon David (Sarsaniya) invited the flock and pilgrims to a traditional festive dinner in the refectory of the monastery.
