In May and June 2020, employees of the Holy Metropolis of Abkhazia (consisting of seven people) carried out household work in the skete of St. John the Baptist in the village of Ankhua.

The entire territory of the monastery was cleared and fenced. The length of the fence is 500 m (150 meters of it, is the reconstructed old fence). 325 wooden stakes were made and installed, seven rows of barbed wire were laid out.

A wooden gate and a gate similar to those ones previously installed on the eastern side of the monastery building were installed on the western side of the monastery building.

A piece of land with an area of 0.4 ha was cultivated, corn and beans were planted on it. In the garden were planted tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and kohlrabi.

The hillock was completely cleared on the south side of the monastery building, tables and benches for parishioners and pilgrims made of cypress were installed.
