On 22 July 2019, a working trip to the village of Ankhua of Archimandrite Dorotheos (Dbar) and the employees of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Abkhazia – Shandor Kaitan, Sabina Agrba and Lana Chindzhiriya took place.

During the trip, the employees of the Department took measurements of four monastic bridges and recorded their locations using the GPS navigation system. The coordinates of the ruins of the temple of St. George and Skete of St. John the Baptist were also recorded.

In addition, on the ruins of the temple of St. George there were found two fragments of the lower parts of pithos (large ceramic vessels) and a considerable number of small fragments of ceramics (on the western and southern sides of the ruins of the temple), which were on the surface of the earth after the rains.
