In July 2022, the Holy Metropolis of Abkhazia provided charitable assistance to residents of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics. 500,000 ₽ were transferred to the settlement account of the “Ashana” Cultural and Charitable Foundation, which carried out a charitable collection of humanitarian aid.
Also, the New Athos Monastery purchased food and household stuff for refugees as charitable assistance.
